DAY 1-NAIROBI Upon arrival in Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be received by our customer service agent outside the terminal and transferred to the Eka hotel. Overnight at the Eka hotel in a superior room on a bed and breakfast basis. DAY 2-NAIROBI-MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE Your safari guide will meet you at the hotel lobby at 0700am. Leaving Nairobi after breakfast you travel towards Kenya's fertile Highlands and head down to the Rift Valley escarpment on the road built by Italian prisoners of world of war during World War 2. You will make a stop and take beautiful pictures as you soak in the breathtaking views of the escarpment. The air at this point is insanely fresh, to reenergize your safari mood! You can make use of the “happy houses” and can get a safari hat, Maasai shuka, from one of the souvenir stores. After the stop, on the way, spot the charming first Chapel built at the foot of the escarpment. Pass the impressive Longonot earth satellite station as you head across the valley to Narok. Continue your travels across the acres of wheat and barley, before reaching the Maasai Mara in good time for a sumptuous hot lunch. After lunch, set off for your first game drive, returning to the lodge as the sun sets. Overnight at Keekorok lodge in a standard room on a full board basis. DAY 3-MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE Following an early breakfast, depart on a morning game drive returning to the camp mid morning. After lunch and perhaps a siesta, set off on another game drive returning to the lodge as the sun sets. (It is possible to pre-book an optional early morning hot air balloon ride at a supplementary cost). Overnight Keekorok lodge on a full board basis. DAY 4 MAASAI- MARA LAKE NAIVASHA Leaving the Maasai Mara after breakfast, travel across the “bread basket” of Kenya where acres of wheat and barley litter the landscape as you head north to Narok, the district headquarters of the path of Maasai land. Now travel across the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley to Mai-Mahiu, before arriving at Lake Naivasha around midday following lunch and a siesta, depart on an afternoon boat ride on Lake Naivasha with the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Overnight at Lake Naivasha Country Club in a standard room on a full board basis. DAY 5- LAKE NAIVASHA-AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK Following breakfast, leaving lake Naivasha behind, and then head southeast towards Amboseli arriving for a late lunch . In the afternoon depart on an afternoon game drive returning as the sunsets. Overnight at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge in a standard room on a full board basis. DAY 6-AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK-TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK Following early breakfast, depart to Tsavo West arriving your lodge for a hot lunch. The journey takes you east, across the spectacular shitani lava flow a reminder of the molten outpouring that spilled down the scenic slopes of the nearby Chyulu hills over the last three centuries. A zigzagging road through scrub thorn and Acacia leads you into Tsavo National Park which together east and West form the largest of Kenya’s parks. Following lunch depart on an afternoon game drive including a visit to the Mzima springs with its underwater viewing holes. Return to the lodge as the sunsets. Overnight at Salt Lick Safari lodge in a Parkview room on full board basis. DAY 7-TSAVO WEST NATONAL PARK-TAITA HILLS SANCTUARY The morning, following a morning breakfast, and a morning game-drive en-route to the gate ,continue to Taita Hills Sanctuary, arriving in time for a hot lunch at Tata Hills Safari Resort. After lunch, transfer to Salt lick Lodge. After a short siesta, depart on an afternoon game-drive, returning to late afternoon. Spend the rest of the afternoon and evening at leisure, viewing game from the lodge’s underground hide, or from the lodge balcony. Overnight at Salt Lick Safari Lodge in a park view room on a full board basis. DAY 8 TAITA HILLS-MOMBASA Early breakfast is served today before continuing your journey to Mombasa, aiming to reach Southern Palms Beach resort in time for a late lunch(on own arrangements).
