You are welcomed to Nairobi, and transferred to the Eka hotel for an overnight. Day 2
0800hrs in the morning- Depart and drive north in a 4*4 pop –up roof safari vehicle to the Aberdares, arriving at The Ark for lunch followed by an afternoon game viewing drive. Accommodation based on 1 night.
Located right in the heart of the Aberdare National Park, this iconic tree-top lodge has viewing decks and balconies that overlook a floodlift waterhole and salt lick to which many animals are attracted by day and night.
Game drives are taken in the surrounding park which contains a wide variety of wildlife for which Kenya is famous.
The Ark is unique, in that is has been specially designed in the shape of Noah's Ark. With an attractive timber, stilted construction, it is comprised of three decks with 60 guest "cabins" and two lounges. Each guest cabin has en suite facilities with shower and w.c.
A special feature is the ground level hide which allows guests to view and photograph animals from a wonderful, close-up vantage point.
Watch the wildlife from the viewing decks as animals come to drink and take salt at the floodlift waterhole directly in front of the lodge.(refer to our gallery for pictures)
After breakfast, check out from The Ark, and proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park, a seasonal home of flamingos. Arrive for lunch at Lion Hill Lodge. Accommodation based on 1 night. Accommodation: Sarova Lionhill Lodge Room: 1*Double- Standard Room Included: Lunch, Dinner& Breakfast
The Sarova Lion Hill Lodge is located in the heart of the Great Rift Valley, on the shores of Lake Nakuru, one of East Africa's most famous soda lakes. the lodge setting, overlooking the lake, offers, a unique vantage point.
There are 64 superbly, appointed chalets each with private facilities, mosquito nets and verandas with panoramic views of the lake.
The restaurant serves meals on the ground floor and also a patio is available at the pool. A buffet is served for lunch while dinner is table d'hote with a seating capacity of 200 people. Rift Valley Bar on the ground floor overlooks the lake, and is open from 7am-11am every day. the lodge restaurant and bar open onto a large viewing deck with panoramic views.
Afternoon game drive beside the lake, another favorite hunt of the lesser flamingo who feed on the algae along the lake shores. It is also one of the best parks in Kenya to see Rhinos.
Day 4
Nakuru- Maasai Mara
Early breakfast and drive via the Rift Valley to Maasai Mara, 1510 square kilometers of rolling grasslands, interspersed by riverine forest and rock outcrops. Arrive in time for lunch at Keekorok Lodge followed by siesta, afternoon game drive. Accommodation based on 2 nights. Accommodation: Keekorok Lodge Room: 1*Double- Standard Room Included: Lunch, Dinner & Breakfast A short stroll along a wooden platform takes you to the Hippo Bar for the unique experience of observing hippos wallowing in their pool whilst you enjoy a relaxing drink. Alternatively, follow the path through the tress to the Elephant Deck for a wonderful place to observe the surrounding wildlife. Afternoon, enjoy a game viewing drive in the park.
Day 5
Maasai Mara
Enjoy morning and afternoon game viewing in Maasai Mara National Reserve to look for the Big Five. Possibly the most famous of the reserves and arguably the greatest wildlife destination in Africa. The Mara lands are famous for the annual Wildebeest Migration, which occurs from June to October, when the Mara becomes host to an almost unimaginable half a million wildebeest seeking the grasses raised by the spring rains of April and May. The wildebeests are not the only tenants of the land. The Mara is also the home to among others, zebras, elephants, cheetahs, lions, and leopards. Hyena, jackal, buffalo, eland topi, impala, gazelle, warthog add to this huge diversity of wildlife. Day 6
Maasai Mara- Nairobi – Mombasa.
Breakfast and drive back to Nairobi with game viewing en-route. Transfer to Nairobi Airport for your departure flight KQ 610 to Mombasa at 1700hrs. On arrival, you are met and transferred to Baobab Beach Resort for check-in. Accommodation based on 3 nights. Mombasa-Nairobi
1400hrs- Transfer to Mombasa Airport for your departure flight KQ 611 to Nairobi at 1850hrs. On arrival connect to your onward flight, back home.
